We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Industrial Relations Specialist with a strong legal background to join our team supporting the nuclear-powered submarine sustainment program in Henderson, WA. Responsibilities Contribute to the development and delivery of an industrial relations strategy that aligns with business objectives and manages risk. Establish and maintain stakeholder and union relationships across the business and externally. Execute and implement Enterprise Agreement negotiation strategies. Develop and adhere to policies, procedures, governance frameworks, toolkits, and training related to industrial relations matters. Provide expert advice and training to stakeholders across the program. Manage investigations and disciplinary processes for the program. Proactively resolve IR matters, disputes, and grievances to achieve optimal business outcomes. Provide high-level strategic advice to Integrated Project Teams regarding workforce composition and planning. About You Tertiary qualifications in Employment Law, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline. Experience in contributing to the development of an IR strategy. Demonstrated 5-10 years' work experience in a Legal/Industrial relations-based role. Experience working with International Joint Venture programs and applying transfer of business provisions. Proven experience in negotiating enterprise agreements and executing negotiation strategies. Experience working within a highly unionized workforce and developing productive relationships with trade unions. Extensive knowledge of relevant industrial instruments (e.g., National Employment Standards, Fair Work Act, Enterprise Agreements). Ability to apply critical thinking to effectively resolve issues and influence stakeholders. Experience managing IR disputes, investigations, and disciplinary outcomes. Ability to manage employee performance management matters, grievances, and coach leaders through resolutions. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. High level of resilience. This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
