Make a significant impact on the community and advance your career in a supportive and dynamic environment About The Role As part of the Office of the Official Solicitor, you'll offer front-line, customer-focused legal services to support the multifaceted work of the Queensland Public Trustee (QPT). In This Role, You Will Provide sound, professional legal advice on matters including property law, succession law, trusts and disability law. Represent the QPT before courts and tribunals, ensuring legal positions are effectively articulated. Prepare applications for grants of representation, including probate for QPT and external clients. Undertake conveyancing and other property related transactions on behalf of the QPT. Collaborate with Customer Experience and Delivery (CED) staff to manage legal matters efficiently and achieve positive outcomes for customers. About You You bring a solid foundation in legal practice with a focus on delivering high-quality, efficient, and customer-oriented legal services. Your experience or ability to quickly adapt to legal environments will be crucial in providing effective representation and advice. You are an excellent communicator, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes. To excel in this role, the following attributes will be your keys to success: Have an understanding or ability to quickly acquire the basic theoretical and practical aspects in property law, succession law, elder/disability law, trusts, and litigation across state and commonwealth courts and tribunals. Ability to effectively engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment in all legal matters. A commitment to delivering superior client service in line with public sector standards and the values of the QPT. A degree in law (or equivalent) and admission as a legal practitioner in Australia.
