At Yura Yarta, we deal with serious lifting and rigging gear—cranes, hoists, ropes, sheaves—across LNG projects, offshore sites, and remote locations such as Tennant Creek and Alice Springs. We provide investment and training until you can perform the job independently. No office politics, micromanagement—just hands‑on work and variety. What You’ll Be Doing Inspect, maintain, and install lifting and rigging gear Work on cranes, hoists, ropes, sheaves, and mechanical components Test, tag, and proof‑load lifting gear Perform certified and height‑safety inspections (harnesses, lanyards, etc.) Design or repair custom lifting gear and solutions Fault find and problem‑solve on‑site, thinking on your feet when things get tricky Travel to remote and offshore sites when needed The successful applicant will have Mechanical aptitude—ability to understand how things work Experience in fitting, mechanical, or engineering‑type roles (a big plus) Comfort working solo—confidence to make calls, test, and troubleshoot safely Working at Heights tickets (EWP); bonus if you have Dogging/Rigging tickets Sharp eye for safety—cutting corners is not part of our culture Willingness to travel and take on a challenge The benefits Competitive pay: hourly rate + OT + site allowances where applicable Ongoing training and development to keep skills and certifications up to date Career progression: long‑term opportunities across the Nobles and Tasmea Group Supportive environment—working solo but never on your own Recognition, rewards, and solid support Candidates will be required to undergo a pre‑employment medical with drug & alcohol tests as part of the recruitment process.
