Senior Employee Relations Advisor

What you’ll be doing Provide expert advice and guidance on complex and high‑risk employee and industrial relations matters. Represent Hastings Deering in the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals. Manage investigations and support the resolution of disputes in line with legislation and workplace policies. Ensure consistent and compliant application of industrial instruments, policies and employment laws. Assist in the negotiation of Enterprise Agreements and facilitation of consultative forums. Work independently and partner with HR Business, managers and senior leaders. Deliver practical, solutions‑focused advice that balances compliance risk and business objectives. Contribute to the continuous improvement of ER/IR frameworks, policies and practices. Build leader capability in managing employee relations issues. Support a culture of fairness, inclusion and high performance across the organisation. What you’ll need Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Law or a related field. Postgraduate qualification in Employment Law or Workplace Relations (desirable). Five years of experience in employee or industrial relations. Proven experience managing complex ER/IR cases and investigations in large or complex organisations. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Experience providing advice on award interpretation, compliance and risk mitigation. Strong capability in coaching leaders and HR professionals on employee relations practices.
