EXGROUP is a specialist valve, mechanical and labour hire services company supplying to the Energy & Resources industry across Australia. We are based in our Forrestdale Workshop, however we have various client sites across Western Australia and the East Coast that our personnel mobilise to for specialist valve work and shutdowns. Role We are currently looking for Senior Valve Technicians to join our team. This role will be on a permanent basis and be based both at the Forrestdale Workshop and on various client sites. Responsibilities Independent completion of workshop-based valve overhauls, testing, diagnosing and certifications. Independent completion of onsite overhauls, testing, certification and installs. Reassembly of all types of equipment correctly, as per the OEM’s instructions. Perform Hydrostatic and Gas Testing as per procedures on various equipment and valves. To perform function tests, calibrations, and diagnostic services as determined and required. To ensure that all work has been completed, inspected and signed off prior to passing it on to the next stage of operation. Conduct training and mentoring with workshop apprentices. Working across the Oil & Gas, Mineral Resources, Chemical Processing, Hydrogen, Defence and Power Generation industries. Inputting accurate documentation in the relevant job cards to allow for effective engineering assessments and quotations to be completed. General housekeeping, including tidying up your workstation after use and general cleaning up of the workshop after yourself. Assist in the continual improvement of production efficiency, improvement in lead times, and reduction in waste. Work with the Supervisor and other team members to manage production priorities during periods of leave, absence and shutdowns. Lead small teams as requested and required. Qualifications Australia Trade Certificate (Mechanical) or equivalent. Experience with servicing, overhauls, installation and diagnosing all types of valves, specifically control valves (5-10 years’ experience preferred). Flange management experience (highly advantageous). Supervisory experience of a small team in a workshop or site setting (highly advantageous). Positive and motivated individual with a can‑do attitude. Working with Heights and Confined Spaces. High Risk working licence (highly advantageous).
