Overview EXGROUP is a specialist valve, mechanical and labour hire services company supplying to the Energy & Resources industry across Australia. We are based in our Forrestdale Workshop, however we have various client sites across Western Australia and the East Coast that our personnel mobilise to for specialist valve work and shutdowns. The Role We are currently looking for an experienced Supervisor for our Valve Workshop. This role may require occasional site work if agreed upon, however is predominately based in our Forrestdale Workshop. Responsibilities Effective supervision and management of Technicians in the Workshop. Able to provide weekly and monthly input and output targets for the workshop. Able to ensure cash-flow and profitability requirements are met with on time delivery to required specifications. Keep management up to date with the Work in Progress (WIP) status and register. Ensure that Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policies and procedures are adhered to. Provide input and suggestions based off any Corrective Actions or Non-Conformance reports. Constantly improve the throughput volume by maximising the output level per employee whilst reducing the level or rework and / or waste. Promote safe working practices in a clean safe working environment, with a team approach to achieve HSE goals and objectives. Assist with workshop based valve overhauls, testing and certifications. Assist with reassembly of all types of equipment correctly, as per the OEM’s instructions. Monitor and complete training and mentoring of workshop Apprentices. Working across the Oil & Gas, Mineral Resources, Chemical Processing, Hydrogen, Defence and Power Generation industries. Inputting accurate documentation in the relevant job cards to allow for effective engineering assessments and quotations to be completed. General housekeeping, including all workers cleaning their workstation after use and general cleaning up of the workshop after yourself. Qualifications Australia Trade Certificate (Mechanical) or equivalent. Extensive experience with valve servicing, overhauls and installation. Flange management experience. Supervisory experience of a small team in a workshop or site setting. Positive and motivation individual with a can-do attitude. Working with Heights and Confined Spaces tickets. High Risk working licence (highly advantageous). Sounds understanding of safety expectations within the workplace. Benefits Supportive workplace culture and team environment.
