Workshop Supervisor Full Time Permanent – Shire vehicle provided (restricted private use). Apply by midday Tuesday 9 December 2025. Responsibilities Undertake maintenance and repair of council plant and equipment Supervise, develop and lead all workshop employees and contractors to ensure a safe work environment Assist with the coordination of daily duties of the mechanics and contractors Allocate and schedule daily work tasks in accordance with the workshop schedule, ensuring services, repairs and maintenance are completed within required time frames and to manufacturer's standards Qualifications & Skills Hold a valid MC driver’s licence Heavy‑Duty Mechanical trade qualification (Australian recognised) Sound knowledge of current statutory requirements, Acts and local laws Experience in the repair and maintenance of small plant (mowers, brush cutters, chainsaws, etc.) Forklift ticket (if you don’t have one, training will be provided) Previous experience supervising staff Sound experience with computers and ordering parts Benefits Salary range $81,000 – $89,423, dependent on experience 12% super – choose to co‑contribute and receive up to 18% Family‑friendly – 9‑day fortnights, hybrid WFH, paid parental leave Free local gym membership; wellness programmes including fitness passport; free counselling, health assessments and health insurance discounts; annual flu vaccination and skin cancer screening 22kW AC charger for electric vehicles; two additional local‑government days off per year; purchase‑leave option; salary packaging including novated leasing Professional development – study leave and study assistance Free onsite parking About the Shire Located in Mundijong, 45 minutes from Perth CBD, the Shire is one of the fastest growing local governments in Australia.
