About the role We are seeking a talented and motivated Commercial Disputes Lawyer with a minimum 2-4 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to work alongside highly regarded lawyers on a broad range of commercial disputes. You will have the chance to work with a range of clients across the not-for-profit, education, social housing, aged care and building & construction sectors on diverse commercial disputes. You will be responsible for drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and assisting with client strategy. As part of a collaborative team, you'll have the opportunity to handle client communications, attend hearings, and support the team through all stages of litigation. Key responsibilities Advise clients on a range of commercial disputes, including but not limited to contractual and corporate disputes, property and leasing disputes. Draft and review pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents. Assist in the preparation and conduct of litigation, including attending court hearings and mediations. Liaise directly with clients and other external stakeholders to provide clear and strategic advice. Conduct legal research and keep up-to-date with developments in commercial litigation. Support senior lawyers and partners in the management of complex cases. Contribute to business development activities and firm-wide initiatives. About you A minimum 2-4 years’ post-qualification experience in commercial disputes, gained from a law firm or in-house legal team. Strong technical knowledge of commercial litigation, including an understanding of key legal principles and procedures. Excellent communication and drafting skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts in a clear and concise manner. A proactive attitude and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A client-focused approach with an interest in building relationships and developing a commercial understanding of client needs. A team-oriented mindset, combined with the ability to work independently when required. About us Moores is not a traditional law firm.
