Located in Mascot, a fast-growing residential area, the school serves students with diverse academic abilities and from varied cultural and socio-economic backgrounds Current enrolments are about 300, including 24 Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students and 69 identified as EAL/D. The support unit caters to students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities and autism. Small class sizes allow more personalised learning and targeted support to meet individual needs. J. J. Cahill Memorial High School focuses strongly on community and works closely with families to support student learning and wellbeing.
