About the role The Quality Assurance and Improvement Lead plays a critical role in continuing to strengthen the quality of services delivered across Anglicare's Children, Youth & Families portfolio. As a domain expert in quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, you will work closely with frontline teams, Service Managers, Group Managers, and Practice Development to ensure services deliver safe, effective and high-quality outcomes. This position leads the development, implementation and monitoring of best-practice quality management systems, oversees integrated risk management processes and drives a culture of continuous improvement across the portfolio. You will champion legislative compliance, accreditation readiness and systems-level enhancements that improve client outcomes and service excellence. An ideal role for a dynamic, analytical and solutions focused person, this position offers the opportunity to shape quality practice, influence organisational culture and contribute directly to Anglicare's commitment to safe, high-quality, client centred services. This is a permanent, full-time position, with an office base of either Fortitude Valley or Maroochydore; however travel across the service region will be required. This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid working environment. Responsibilities Lead and implement best practice quality management systems aligned to Anglicare's Clinical and Care Governance Framework. Drive quality assurance review processes, provide advice on standards, accreditation and legislative compliance. Facilitate continuous improvement activities, fostering a culture of learning, accountability and service excellence. Monitor and support integrated risk management practices, including risk identification, review, reporting, and mitigation. Conduct internal audits and support external certification against relevant standards (HSQF, Child Safety Licensing, etc.). Analyse incident, risk, and quality data to identify trends, emerging risks and service improvement opportunities. Provide training, coaching, and guidance to staff in quality systems, risk management and continuous improvement methodologies. Prepare reports, dashboards, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including governance committees. Build collaborative partnerships with service teams, strengthening capability and supporting high-quality, safe client care. Promote an organisational environment where staff feel confident to speak up, report concerns, and contribute to improvement. Support the development and review of policies, procedures and practice guidelines to ensure alignment with legislation and standards. Contribute to organizational projects related to quality, safety, service improvement and governance innovation. Assist teams to prepare for accreditation through coaching, advising, readiness checks and action plans. Monitor the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and provide feedback to leaders on progress and risk areas. Contributing to knowledge sharing, learning resources and improvement tools. Qualifications, Credentials and Requirements Minimum two years' experience in a Quality Assurance role, and/or significant experience in delivering human services programs Demonstrated leadership in implementing quality management systems and driving continuous improvement. Experience working within integrated risk management frameworks. Strong understanding of relevant legislation, sector reforms and standards (example, HSQF, National Standards for Mental Health Services, Domestic & Family Violence frameworks, Investment Specifications, service guidelines and contractual obligations). Experience with quality, risk or safety information systems (example, RiskMan) and client care systems. Current Blue Card (Working with Children). Current Licensed Care Service (LCS) Check or willingness to obtain. Relevant tertiary qualification (desirable). Current Queensland Driver Licence and reliable vehicle. Willingness and ability to travel within the service region.
