Connecting hearts, one chat at a time. Community Social Volunteer - Rathmines Share a cuppa, a chat, and brighten the day of an elderly lady living at home in Rathmines. Do you have a kind heart and a little time to spare? We're looking for a friendly, caring person to brighten the day of an older lady in Rathmines who would love some regular company. A weekly or fortnightly visit over a cuppa and a good chat can make a world of difference sharing stories, laughter, and friendship. Our lovely client enjoys good conversation and simple moments of connection. Your visits could bring warmth, companionship, and a sense of belonging to her week and you might just find it brightens your own days too. If you believe that kindness, a listening ear, and a friendly smile can make someone's life a little happier, we'd love to hear from you. Location: Rathmines Time commitment: 1 hour per week (flexible) Impact: Deep, personal, and lasting One hour a week can make a real difference. HammondCare HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, supporting people to live in their homes and maintain their independence. Category Seniors & Aged Care Commitment Regular - more than 6 months Type Of Work Arts, Craft & Photography, Companionship & Social Support, Seniors & Aged Care Time Required We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability. Training Training is provided as well as ongoing support by a local Volunteer Coordinator. We offer an extensive online and face-to-face training program so you will be well equipped as a volunteer.
