Ocius Technology is an Australian company dedicated to developing and deploying cutting edge Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs). Our vessel's harness Wind, Solar and Wave power to remain at sea collecting vital data for Defence and Civilian applications. We are under contracts with RAN, RNZN and USA and are responding in an agile way to an ambitious program of building and deploying multiple USVs for operations around Australia and beyond. About the Role Our Senior Electronics Engineer will be driving the development of all Electronic Systems and controls onboard the Bluebottle. The role will be instrumental in ensuring continuous improvement and development of existing systems and driving R&D of new features and products. The Engineering function is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the design of Ocius assets, particularly the Bluebottle platform, while actively responding to operational and production requirements to ensure continuous improvement. A typical day as our Senior Electronics Engineer could include: Developing firmware for Microcontroller's Partnering with the production teams to ensure electronics designs are scalable Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective systems-level products Strong electronics design skills (>5 years) Create schematics and PCB layouts for embedded systems using KiCAD, Altium or similar Familiarity with peripheral interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN Significant track record of delivery of complex products to market and deployment to the field in quantities >100 units. Experience with electronics lab equipment and safety procedures.
