About the Role We are searching for a Production Estimating Team Leader to join us. You will lead a team of Estimators using consistent workflow to manage and coordinate quality assurance & documentation of production activities. Your natural leadership skills will equip you to efficiently assess and assign jobs based on difficulty to the team, setting timeframes and monitoring KPI’s to ensure all site start targets are met. You will manage roadblocks, liaise with Senior Estimators to ensure quality assurance, investigate & report costing discrepancies to the Estimating Manager, and be involved in pricing management, system maintenance and act as the point of escalation for internal and external teams. As the Team Leader you will facilitate and promote training and information sharing sessions on product or process improvement to reduce errors, conflicts & ETS while fostering a great team working environment. Hybrid work balance – Wednesday & Friday WFH Optional 5 weeks paid leave Friendly, social and collaborative team environment Company Wide Reward and Recognition Platform with points redeemable for cash vouchers or days off Recruitment Referral Program – up to $5000 Discount on home builds and land packages Access to our employee assistance program for you and your family Paid parental leave Gym membership discounts Key Responsibilities Lead a Team of Estimators to meet and exceed KPI's Foster and promote information sharing, teamwork and high performance Assign and delegate tasks to estimators based on experience and skillset Report on team metrics, provide feedback and ensure targets are met Facilitate training sessions including the maintenance of training materials Assist with QA on BOQ's & review/approve Overrun costs Support Systems & Maintenance team in ACC improvement processes Coordinate tenders for Spec Home programs & site visits Qualifications Typical Education Degree or Certificate IV in Building & Construction Management Understanding of the construction process and terminology Working knowledge of the Building Code and regulations Professional Experience 3 years experience in a similar role Exposure to the Class 1 residential Construction sector (Highly desirable) Prior experience in leading and managing teams Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail Experience with SAP, ACC, DataBuild & relevant Estimating software Skills Project planning and management experience Prior experience using Estimating software (e.g. Databuild, BuildSoft, Timberline PlanSwift or similar) Microsoft Office Suite & SAP proficiency Strong experience liaising with senior stakeholders of an organisation Proven skills in defining, prioritising and organising competing tasks to meet deadlines Ability to analyse and resolve complex problems which may require the involvement of multiple parties Ability to make sound evidence‑based decisions under pressure Excellent written and verbal communication skills Attributes Motivated self‑starter Managerial & professional mindset Ability to drive teams toward success Delegate and assess work tasks to appropriate team members Take ownership and accountability of tasks Practical mindset with a high level of personal resourcefulness Ability to lead a team, learn and share knowledge Innovative thinker with strong problem‑solving skills Goal‑oriented and innovative thinker Everyone belongs at Rawson Group Diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are key to realising our purpose of building better together.
