Change Manager – part time 3 days per week UNSW invites applications for a part‑time Change Manager. The role is a contract position based in Kensington, Sydney, with a daily rate. UNSW IT, part of the Operations Division, is responsible for driving innovative technology architectures and serving as a trusted advisor to the university. The Change Practice Team supports IT projects by providing change management expertise across the investment portfolio. Accountabilities Lead, plan, implement and manage change strategies and tasks from inception to completion (on time and within budget). Conduct detailed impact assessments and tailor change management interventions. Provide reports to ITPMO and EPMO, conduct end-to-end process reviews and benefit identification for stakeholders. Identify and manage change‑related risks and issues (people, operations, organisational) and develop mitigation plans. Scope and oversee a plan to collaborate and communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders. Support the UNSW Leadership Team to deliver leader‑led change communications. Manage internal stakeholders, reporting issues and risks/resistance to project leads. Develop fit‑for‑purpose change communications approaches aligned with UNSW brand standards. Create localised change management plans and training materials. Conduct business readiness assessments and evaluate results to inform change approach and plans. Provide change coaching/mentoring support for Senior Leaders to build change capability and maturity. Undertake change training needs analysis and develop learning objectives, curriculum and implementation plans. Work with Faculty/Division Business Partners to identify effective engagement channels and key messages. Actively seek feedback to measure stakeholder engagement and change management effectiveness. Collaborate with peers in the UNSW IT Change Management Practice to ensure consistency of approach and stakeholder satisfaction. Skills and Experience Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and solid experience delivering effective change management in large‑scale projects. Effective self‑leadership, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders. Knowledge and experience of a project management framework linked to change management deliverables. Capacity to plan and achieve priority outcomes, respond flexibly to changing environments and resolve problems systematically. Experience designing and applying fit‑for‑purpose change approaches; understanding of the higher‑education sector culture (preferred). Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to navigate competing deadlines. Benefits Hybrid working environment (2–3 days in office). Daily rate contract role.
