Team Leader - Impairment Benefits - Worker's Compensation Be among the first 25 applicants. Role Overview As the Team Leader of Impairment Benefits, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day functioning of a team of Specialists and support staff, oversee workflow management, handle complex decisions involving stakeholder engagement and complaints, and ensure compliance with Worksafe key measures. You will also manage recruitment within the team and demonstrate people‑management experience. Your primary goal is to ensure the team effectively manages the end‑to‑end impairment determination process for injured workers in accordance with legislative requirements. Required Skills Demonstrated leadership and people management Sound decision making weighing up legal and medical principles Negotiation and influencing Drive to succeed and empower others Superior customer service and communication skills dealing with complex claims and stakeholders Exposure to WorkSafe Victoria claims management systems Understanding of Agent remuneration drivers Strategic thinking and approach Required Expertise People management. Industry experience in claims management, specifically in Impairment benefits Strong knowledge of the Accident Compensation Act 1985, Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 and associated regulations. Completion of AMA4 training by Work Safe Victoria. Extensive knowledge of medical and paramedical terminology and procedures, including treatments. Experience managing hearing device claims.
