Data Engineer / Developer – Data Science Squad Medibank's Data Hub team has an immediate need for a Data Engineer contractor to support the Data Science Squad. This is a 6‑month contract engagement, with a strong possibility of extension. Daily Rate: $680 per day The goal is to manage Data Scientist data requirements. To achieve this, we need a skilled Data Engineer to: Ingest data from multiple systems Collate, clean, and manipulate the data Prepare data objects aligned to the Data Science team requirements Optimize data processing and identify bottlenecks in data processing This is a hands‑on role requiring deep technical expertise and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Design and implement ETL pipelines and data integration solutions Ingest and transform data from diverse systems for Data Science Squad Collaborate with the Data Science team to understand data requirements, including recommendations on the best approach Develop and maintain Propensity Models for production Deploy, monitor, and manage machine learning (ML) models Maintain high standards of data governance and quality Support the Data Hub's broader initiatives and compliance obligations About You You're a seasoned Data Engineer with a strong background in cloud technologies and enterprise data management. You're confident working with complex datasets and have experience delivering similar compliance or regulatory reporting projects. Must‑Have Skills & Experience: 5+ years in data engineering or enterprise data roles Strong experience with AWS, SQL, and Python Experience with MLOps Experience with SageMaker, model scoring, real‑time batch monitoring Proven ability to ingest and manipulate data from multiple sources Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Imagine Working With Us We know that happy, healthy people make great teams.
