About the role Crusader Caravans is seeking the services of a picker/packer who has a variety of tasks to complete in a Warehouse Environment. The role requires physical fitness, the ability to pick off a manual picking slip with meticulous attention to detail, stand for extended periods, and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Reliability and punctuality with start and end times are essential. Previous work experience as a Packer or similar role is required. The ability to follow verbal and written instructions, strong communication skills, and a desire to work with other team members are critical. A forklift licence is preferred, with experience using a counter‑balance forklift. Skills and experience Minimum 5 years experience working in a Pick/Pack environment Ability to use RF scanning units Ability to pick and pack orders off a manual picking slip Ability to pick, pack, and stage orders Operate in a fast‑paced environment Strong organisational skills Ability to adapt and use the Pronto computer system Forklift licence (required) Experience operating a Reach forklift Able to stand for long periods and bend & reach overhead Ability to multitask Operate under pressure in a calm and processed manner Strong attention to detail Ability to work with other internal department members Ability to work unsupervised Mentor and train other team members Able to be operational in line with business occupational health & safety guidelines Adhere to all day‑to‑day warehouse operational processes & procedures Tasks and responsibilities Picks and packs daily production orders Meets daily pick rate in a timely, safe & structured manner Picks orders in line with warehouse order picking process Communicates errors to relevant parties Monitors product quality, reports and action any product‑related issues Operates various pieces of equipment (e.g. reach forklift, counter‑balance forklift, pallet jacks, pallet wrapping) Reports any mechanical issues Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area Performs other duties assigned Performs all day‑to‑day tasks in line with Crusader occupational health and safety protocol Committed to safety practices and experienced in forklift operation Punctual and hardworking Understands, supports, and assists the functions of each department, as they often work through the warehouse and perform work for other departments Ensures cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of the work environment Strong people skills Positive mindset and ability to work in a team environment Personal Attributes High mechanical aptitude Strong drive, flexible, and initiative‑driven Ability to work within a team environment and assist others where possible Willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Time management Is punctual and reliable Can work well under pressure and meet deadlines Thank you for taking the time to apply for this position.
