About the role This leadership role oversees a multidisciplinary team delivering maintenance and trade services across City of Parramatta facilities and public spaces. You'll ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes while driving innovation, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. On a daily basis you will Manage and mentor a diverse team of tradespeople and contractors to deliver efficient services. Coordinate urgent repairs and emergency response activities to ensure public safety. Oversee contractor selection, appointment, and compliance with procurement and WHS requirements. Monitor service requests against customer service benchmarks. Develop staff capabilities, fostering self-managed teams and continuous improvement. Facilitate effective communication with internal stakeholders and external partners. About You The successful candidate will have 10 years experience in a relevant trade area. You are a proactive people leader with strong trade expertise and a passion for safety, accountability, and team development. You will also bring Experience supervising apprentices and managing contractors. Extensive staff management and team leadership experience. Proven ability to deliver works in line with Council service levels, WHS regulations, traffic regulations, and legislation. Strong planning, organising, and administrative skills, including report preparation and cost estimation. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Council systems. What's on offer We are offering an attractive remuneration from $113, to $$124, plus 12% superannuation.
