Grounds Supervisor Full Time Salary Sea World, Main Beach, Gold Coast The Opportunity Lead the way in keeping our parks picture‑perfect We’re on the lookout for a passionate and hands‑on Grounds Supervisor to lead our talented team and keep our parks looking their absolute best. If you take pride in presentation, love the outdoors, and know your way around horticulture, this is your chance to combine leadership and green‑thumb magic in one exciting role Key Responsibilities Lead and motivate the Grounds team to deliver exceptional park presentation. Plan, schedule, and oversee daily maintenance and inspections across all areas. Manage contractors and ensure all work meets safety, quality, and operational standards. Train and supervise safe use of tools, vehicles, and machinery. Drive process improvements for efficiency, quality, and sustainability. Develop rosters, manage budgets, and maintain stock and inventory. Roll up your sleeves and get involved in hands‑on operational tasks. Support VRTP’s sustainability goals, including water conservation and eco‑friendly landscaping. Champion guest experience through proactive maintenance and quick resolution of park issues. What We’re Looking For Proven leadership and supervisory experience, including performance management and staff development. Strong skills in rostering, labour management, and team scheduling. Certificate III in Horticulture (essential); Certificate IV or Diploma (advantageous). Excellent time management, problem‑solving, and organisational skills. Strong communication, delegation, and leadership skills with a focus on quality. Solid understanding of Occupational Health & Safety requirements. Manual driver’s licence (required); EWP/High‑Risk licence (advantageous). Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook); SAP or Maximo experience highly desirable. Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and early mornings. A proactive, positive attitude with a passion for quality and teamwork. Comfortable working around domestic and wild animals.
