About the role Personal Care Assistant Mercy Health Australia – Mandurah, WA Employment Type: Permanent Part time Salary: Aged Care Award Location: Mandurah, WA Contact: Simone Baxter, Service Manager – Please apply directly to the advertisement. No direct application will be considered. The Personal Care Assistant is responsible for all primary care needs of our residents including ADL care, provision of meals, cleaning and laundry. This role will contribute to a successful and sustainable care culture at our residential aged care homes with a small household living model. Key responsibilities Providing care and support to residents using a person-centered approach. Personal hygiene and activities of daily living. Promoting the physical and emotional well-being of residents by partnering with residents to be involved in meaningful activities. Undertake care and documentation to the highest standard. What you'll bring You are reliable, resilient and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are genuinely interested in supporting others and making a difference in your community. Qualifications and experience Previous experience in Aged Care is desirable. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. The ability to work effectively within a team environment. Requirements to provide or obtain Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support. Current National Police Clearance if available.
