CL604 First Officers - Search and Rescue Leidos Australia is seeking experienced First Officers for our life‑saving Search and Rescue fleet. Operate state‑of‑the‑art Challenger 604 jets with leading technology. Competitive remuneration: $112,449.98 + 12% super in the first year for First Officers; $175,796.73 + 12% super for Captains, plus generous allowances. Key Responsibilities Conduct search and rescue missions in dynamic, time‑critical environments. Operate advanced mission systems with precision and teamwork. Maintain the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Support aircraft readiness and mission planning with your crew. Contribute to ongoing innovation in SAR capability. Required Qualifications Australian citizen or permanent resident (some nationality restrictions apply under ITAR). Australian CPL(A) and MEA Instrument Rating. CASA Class 1 Medical. Eligibility for an Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC). 2000 hours total flying time (including 500 hours command/ICUS and 500 hours multi‑engine, or at least 250 hours turboprop or Grade 1 FIR). Ability to reside within 30 minutes of your assigned base when on night standby. Where You’ll Work Based in Perth, Melbourne or Cairns, you’ll operate Challenger 604 jets under contract with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA). Flights range from offshore rescues to emergency response and humanitarian aid across Australia’s vast Search and Rescue region.
