Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a Foodservice Sales Representative QLD to help shape the future of foodservice across Brisbane’s south territory. This territory‑driven field‑based role is ideal for a self‑starter with a passion for helping small and medium‑sized businesses thrive in a dynamic competitive market. You’ll spend Monday to Thursday on the road building relationships, finding new opportunities and supporting existing customers. Fridays are dedicated to collaboration and planning with your team in the Brisbane office. This position offers autonomy, variety and the chance to make a measurable impact for both your customers and McCain. You will join a supportive close‑knit team of four experienced sales representatives reporting to the Foodservice State Sales Manager. The market is currently challenging and highly competitive so we’re looking for someone with a resilient mindset and the ability to quickly build rapport, own their territory and deliver results. What you’ll be doing. Build strong business relationships with distributors and end‑users in your territory (Brisbane South and regional areas). Generate new business – acquire new accounts and expand McCain’s product range through regular sales visits, presentations and on‑site cook‑ups. Take full ownership of your territory, quickly establishing trust, responding to changing market conditions and overcoming challenges with tenacity and a solutions‑driven approach. Plan your activities and visits to maximize territory potential Monday to Thursday; participate in team planning sessions and collaborative office days in Brisbane every Friday. Manage call cycle planning, maintain up‑to‑date customer records and ensure sales and opportunity reporting meets business requirements. Introduce new SKUs and ensure product pull‑through with distributors and key end‑users. Accurately forecast business outcomes, proactively identify issues and report results to management. Champion McCain’s values of collaboration, innovation and customer‑first service at all times. Mentor and support new team members when required. Strictly adhere to McCain’s corporate policies and code of practice. What you’ll need to be successful. Prior experience in foodservice sales is highly regarded but not essential; willingness to learn about the foodservice market is key. Proven ability to cope with challenging competitive markets – resilient, proactive and unafraid of hard work. Demonstrated success in building trust‑based business relationships quickly. Experience in FMCG or an understanding of what it’s like to work for a large FMCG business is highly valued. Self‑starter attitude; ability to work autonomously, plan effectively and own your territory. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organisational and time‑management abilities; proficiency in Microsoft Office. Previous use of Salesforce (CRM) considered highly beneficial. Ability to travel regularly in the territory and to regional areas as needed. Australian Driver’s Licence. Willingness to attend the Brisbane office every Friday. About the team. You’ll be part of a collaborative Queensland Foodservice Field Team comprising four sales‑focused peers led by the Foodservice State Sales Manager.
