Senior Statewide Educator – Sexual Assault NSW Health North Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia Employment Type: Permanent Part Time Position Classification: Senior Health Education Officer Graduate Remuneration: $59.88 - $64.69 per hour Hours Per Week: 24 Location: Cumberland Hospital Where you’ll be working Based at Cumberland Hospital, this position is part of the Integrated Violence, Abuse and Neglect (IVAN) team at the NSW Education Centre Against Violence (ECAV). ECAV is recognised nationally for delivering expert education, training and workforce development in responding to violence, abuse and neglect. You’ll Enjoy Working in a collaborative, values-driven organisation dedicated to social justice and trauma-informed practice Being part of a statewide education team supporting diverse frontline professionals across NSW Health and partner agencies Access to ongoing professional development and research-informed practice A supportive culture that prioritises inclusion, respect, and cultural safety Opportunities to contribute to national conversations and policy directions in violence, abuse and neglect response What You’ll Be Doing As the Senior Statewide Educator – Sexual Assault, you will design, deliver and evaluate evidence-based education programs that strengthen the capability of NSW Health workers and partner agencies to respond effectively to sexual assault, child abuse and domestic and family violence. Your expertise will ensure that ECAV’s programs remain at the forefront of national and international best practice. In This Role, You Will Develop, deliver and evaluate training programs and resources aligned with evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches Provide specialist education and workforce development support to NSW Health Sexual Assault and Violence, Abuse & Neglect (VAN) Services Lead the design of programs for children under ten with problematic or harmful sexual behaviours, and contribute to forensic and medical response training Promote culturally safe and inclusive education that reflects the needs of Aboriginal, CALD, refugee and diverse communities Partner with stakeholders, consumer groups and interagency representatives to ensure training is contemporary, client-centred and aligned with evolving policy and practice How To Apply Apply online by submitting your resume and addressing the criteria listed below by providing examples that demonstrate your ability before the closing date. Essential Criteria Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications including Behavioural Science, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or equivalent Selection Criteria Relevant tertiary qualifications including Behavioural Science, Social Work, Psychology or equivalent and holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to work towards this Demonstrated experience working in NSW Health VAN services and/or related services providing a range of responses to children, young people, adults and families who have experienced violence abuse and neglect, in particular sexual assault Demonstrated understanding of the socio‑political context, nature, dynamics and impacts of violence abuse and neglect and their relevance to integrated practice and health service delivery Demonstrated high level ability to critically analyse current issues and emerging trends and proven experience and skills in the development and delivery of training programs in the area of violence, abuse and neglect, including sexual assault Demonstrated understanding of cultural competency and applying culturally safe practices in the workplace Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment, with a demonstrated ability to work to deadlines, to manage and complete resource development/policy review/project management and have high level communication skills Excellent organisational and written skills with competency in computer programs such as Word, PowerPoint, email systems and training equipment Willingness to travel within NSW and has a current driver’s license valid in NSW Requisition ID: REQ Applications Close: 25th November 2025 EEO Statements People with disabilities who meet the selection criteria are encouraged to apply; and where required, WSLHD will implement reasonable adjustment consistent with industry standard.
