About Our School Southern Cross Catholic College is a Prep to Year 12 school offering families a co‑educational pathway to life‑long learning. The College was founded in 1995 following the amalgamation of the Catholic primary and secondary schools in the Moreton Bay Region. The multi‑campus College operates as the principal Catholic College on the Redcliffe peninsula. Southern Cross Catholic College has three campuses located in Scarborough, Kippa Ring and Woody Point accommodating students in Prep to Year 6 and a fourth campus in Scarborough accommodating middle and senior years students from Year 7 to 12. Summary Support teachers in delivering powerful strategies that supercharge student learning and success in every subject Location: Southern Cross Catholic College, Woody Point Campus (Primary) Start date: 27/01/2026 - 04/12/2026 Work hours: 26.5 hours per week Salary: School Officer Level 3 - $34.17/hour + super (School Salary Scale) Status: Term Time Fixed Term (Part Time) Ad close date: 8 December 2025 Contact: | About The Opportunity Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students including the use of technology and learning support activities. Monitoring the progress of students and identifying learning areas to provide evidence‑based intervention strategies. Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs. Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services. Documenting observation notes, intervention programmes and assisting in the collation and preparation of classroom materials. About You Strong skills in planning, preparing, and delivering effective teaching programmes. Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence‑based interventions. Expertise in supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes. Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups. Proficient in documenting observations, managing intervention programmes, and preparing classroom materials. Certificate III in Education Support. For this position you are not required to be Catholic. Eligibility And Safeguarding Requirements Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
