Principal Adviser Industrial Relations Join to apply for the Principal Adviser Industrial Relations role at Queensland Corrective Services Overview The Principal Advisor, Industrial Relations provides expert advice and support to maintain effective industrial and employee relations across the Queensland Corrective Services. The role delivers strategic, tactical and operational guidance in key areas including: management and resolution of industrial disputes; negotiation of employment conditions, including enterprise bargaining; advocacy on behalf of the Department before the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission; union consultation and relationship management; management of employee performance and absence; and policy, guidelines and procedures development and review of industrial instruments/directives. Responsibilities Advise on all matters relating to industrial relations and employee relations. Manage and resolve industrial disputes and facilitate dispute resolution processes. Negotiate employment conditions and lead enterprise bargaining processes. Represent the Department in the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission and other fora. Consult and maintain relationships with trade unions and other employee representatives. Support employee performance and absence management initiatives. Develop and review policies, guidelines, procedures and industrial instruments.
