Dugald River mine is one of the world’s top 10 Zinc mine operations, which has been producing zinc concentrate for our clients around the world since 2017. In April 2023, our commitment to a sustainable future saw the beginning of the Dugald River Solar Farm operations, supplying a third of the mine’s power, and reducing emissions by 33%; this is just the start of our renewable energy transition. Operator - ROM We currently have an opportunity for a ROM Operator to join our Processing team at Dugald River Mine. Reporting to the Supervisor – Processing, you will be part of the ROM team that is responsible for all ROM activities; these include feeding the ROM bin, sorting piles removing the steel and large rocks, rock breaking, surface water truck operation, and at times helping in the processing plant as directed by your Supervisor. This role is based on an 8/6, 7/7 (Days & Nights) roster, drive in drive out from Cloncurry or Mount Isa, Queensland OR FIFO from Townsville, QLD. Qualifications, skills & Experience A current C Class Licence. Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and Pre-Employment Medical. A current RIIMPO304, RIIMPO321 (or industry equivalent) Experience on Komatsu WA600-8 wheel loader or similar. A current RIIMPO301, RIIMPO320 (or industry equivalent) Experience on Komatsu PC490LC-11 Excavator. Heavy Rigid Licence OR RIIVEH307 – Operate Heavy Rigid Vehicle. A current RIIMPO206 (or industry equivalent) ticket to conduct bulk water truck operations. Experience in a processing plant/crushing circuit highly desirable.
