Overview Senior Signalling Design Engineer role at Hitachi Rail , based in Brisbane, Australia . Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. Responsibilities Guarantee the delivery of the signalling hardware design for projects, including documentation of design, on schedule and budget. Ensure the setup of hardware (including operating system installation, automated installation development, software integration) and identify and troubleshoot problems with both lab and production hardware. Execute detailed hardware design, including documents and drawings, and provide input to development, integration, testing, and maintenance. Ensure the control of design documents in accordance with company processes. Lead reviews to detect design errors and ensure correction. Deliver sub-systems or software configurations for medium and small signalling project schemes, including production and check of configuration documents. Guarantee requirements, designing and testing according to allocated project requirements. Ensure input data, configuration documents, and executable files are issued and controlled in accordance with company processes. Define and execute integration lab tests before handover of the executable files of the configured sub-systems. Qualifications Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology qualifications / University Degree. More than 5 years of professional experience in Signalling HW design.
