About Biomedical Engineering The Biomedical Engineering (BME) department is a critical part of the Women’s team and manages the life cycle of medical equipment at the Women's. BME has responsibility for all electro-medical equipment used in patient treatment, diagnosis, and monitoring. About the role Reporting to the BME manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the BME team responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of medical devices at the Women’s. You will oversee a variety of technical-related matters to ensure the BME team are fully equipped and capable of assuring all applicable equipment is maintained and ready for clinical use. This role requires excellent technical troubleshooting and communication skills. A regular day will see you: Monitor service desk system, ensuring work requests are prioritised and actioned Manage the BME maintenance schedule, ensuring all medical equipment is appropriately maintained and safe for patients and staff use Coach BME technical personnel to solve difficult technical problems Implement and maintain policies and protocols relevant to Biomedical Engineering About you An excellent opportunity for a skilled engineering professional with a passion for customer focused service delivery in healthcare to lead a biomedical team.
