With a diverse range of offerings across the sites, this is a varied work environment where a robust and comprehensive approach to Risk & Safety is essential Job Description The Risk & Safety Advisor role sits within the Risk, Compliance & Assurance directorate and plays a critical role embedding strong, consistent risk and governance practices and culture across the organisation. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop, implement, and maintain effective risk management policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulations. Provide advice and support on workplace health and safety matters to all staff. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks. Deliver training programs to promote safety awareness and best practices. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with the Human Resources department to address safety and wellbeing concerns. Stay updated on legislative changes and ensure organisational compliance. The Successful Applicant A successful Risk & Safety Advisor should have: Relevant qualifications in risk management, workplace health and safety, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within an educational or human services context. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders. A proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing effective solutions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
