Become a part of our talented deugro team as we look for a Pricing Specialist in Perth or Brisbane. Key responsibilities Work within the Local and Regional Tender Management (TM) team to create, assemble, and deliver key commercial tender responses / proposals. Support the commercial aspects of tender requests and perform cost analysis. Assign and distribute tasks and rate requests to overseas offices and support functions during the bidding process. Obtain and negotiate rates with carriers and deugro subcontractors. Read ocean and air freight rates and understand common terms and conditions. Calculate rate and price conversions, verify shipment weight and volume, and use rate charts for currency conversions. Develop and establish communication with foreign operations, carriers, and local customers. Build relationships with vendors, shippers, customers, carriers, and deugro overseas offices during tendering. Present competitive pricing / bid packages and follow up with customers for feedback. Maintain rate databases, service contracts, port tariffs, and other key documents. Follow TM log and generate reports as needed. Skills, knowledge, and expertise At least 5 years of experience managing commercial and operational aspects in freight forwarding disciplines: land, air, ocean, or specialized heavy / over-dimensional transport for industrial projects. Good knowledge of domestic and international geography, including countries, major cities, and airports. Effective time management skills to evaluate deadlines and prioritize workflows. Strong commercial, technical, and financial acumen. Awareness of risk factors and basic risk mitigation measures. Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficient PC skills. Ability to work under pressure, be team-focused, self-motivated, with an eye for detail. Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools. Ability to create winning bid proposals in lead or support roles.
