As we continue to strengthen our People and Culture functions, we are seeking a capable team member who can provide real, practical support to the People and Culture Lead. About the Role We are looking for a People and Culture Officer who can confidently deliver day‑to‑day HR and WHS support across our organisation. Working closely with the People and Culture Lead, this role will support: People and Culture Responsibilities End‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding for disability support roles Drafting employment contracts, position descriptions, induction packs and HR documentation Supporting performance management, including note‑taking, counselling meetings and drafting follow‑ups Assisting with grievances, investigations and fact‑finding in alignment with Fair Work and Beacon policies Maintaining accurate employee records, compliance documents and training evidence Supporting engagement initiatives, culture improvements and People and Culture projects Providing frontline HR advice to staff and leaders in a supportive, professional manner Work Health & Safety Responsibilities Assisting with incident reporting, review and escalation Coordinating corrective actions, hazard reporting and worker consultations Maintaining WHS registers (training, inductions, incidents, risk assessments, safety alerts) Supporting the People and Culture Lead and senior leaders in implementing WHS requirements Ensuring compliance with NDIS Practice Standards for incident management, restrictive practices and worker safety Participating in emergency planning, drills and continuous improvement activities Supporting safety training, toolbox updates and safe‑work documentation This is a full‑time role (38 hours per week), with stability and long‑term potential as Beacon continues to expand. About You To thrive in this role, you will bring: Essential Demonstrated hands‑on HR experience across recruitment, onboarding and generalist HR advisory Strong understanding of WHS responsibilities in a high‑risk or community‑based environment Ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism, confidentiality and empathy Excellent written communication skills (emails, reports, incident summaries, policy drafting) Confidence to support and coach frontline workers High organisational skills and attention to detail Highly Regarded Experience in disability, community services or NDIS environments Exposure to incident management, risk or compliance frameworks Qualifications in HR, WHS, Business or related fields Most importantly, you share The Beacon Way: Communication Compassion Equality Integrity Safety Teamwork Why Join Beacon Support?
