As the District Disaster Manager you’ll be the emergency management lead for MLHD: driving preparedness, strengthening response capability, and ensuring our services remain safe and resilient during any emergency. In This Role, You Will Lead MLHD’s Emergency Management framework across prevention, preparedness, response and recovery Provide strategic guidance on policies, plans and major incident readiness Support the HSFAC and Chief Executive during emergencies and complex incidents Collaborate with the State HSFAC (SPRU) on shared priorities, statewide initiatives and training programs Oversee education, simulation exercises and capability‑building across the district Maintain strong partnerships with emergency services, health providers and government agencies Coordinate operational response and recovery during activations of emergency plans About You Strong emergency/disaster management experience and knowledge An in‑depth understanding of NSW Health’s PPRR principles Exceptional ability to remain calm and confident making decisions in a fast‑changing environment Sound communication skills with the ability to coordinate across a variety of stakeholder groups Flexibility to support after‑hours or on‑call requirements About Us MLHD is a passionate organisation delivering exceptional care to over 240,000 people across regional NSW.
