Join Our Team as an In-Home Care Direct Care Worker with Domestic Duties We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers and Domestic Assistants to support our clients in living independently at home. About the Role As an In-home care-based Direct Care Worker, you will assist clients with daily living activities, domestic cleaning, personal care, and meal preparation while also supporting community access and transportation to appointments. Responsibilities Provide in-home care assistance with activities of daily living, including domestic cleaning and personal care. Assist with meal preparation and domestic assistance throughout the client’s home. Support community access and transportation to appointments. Job Details In‑home care based position. Locations: Phillip Island, Wonthaggi, Grantville, Bass, Corinella, Foster and Mirboo regions. Casual position with flexible start and finish times. Paid travel time. About You Empathetic, respectful, and reliable. Hold a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability, or a first‑year Bachelor of Nursing. Completed First Aid and CPR training. Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence with comprehensive car insurance and reliable transport. Available at least three days a week during business hours Monday to Friday. Flexible availability to meet clients’ needs. A Day in the Life of a DCW at mecwacare As a Direct Care Worker with Domestic Cleaning Duties, you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals maintain their independence and quality of life. Your day-to-day tasks may include: Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility. Household domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry. Transporting clients to shopping or appointments. You may visit multiple clients, spending 1–3 hours per client depending on their care needs.
