Join our compassionate team as a Clinical Nurse Educator - Palliative Care, where you'll make a meaningful difference in how we support patients and families during life's most challenging moments. This fixed-term, full-time role offers the chance to shape palliative care education across our North West hospitals network. You will work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals, developing and delivering education programs that enhance the quality of end-of-life care. This position combines clinical expertise with teaching skills to build capability and confidence among nursing staff in palliative care practices. What You'll Do Design and facilitate palliative care education sessions for nursing staff Support clinical teams in implementing best‑practice palliative care approaches Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes Mentor and guide nurses in developing palliative care competencies Contribute to policy development and quality improvement initiatives Provide clinical support and consultation when needed What We're Looking For Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia Hold or working towards postgraduate qualification in palliative care (desirable) Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (desirable) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work sensitively with patients, families, and colleagues Commitment to continuous learning and professional development Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application. Details of appointment: Fixed term full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team until 27 of March 2026. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Benefits available to eligible candidate: Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse Current Driver's Licence Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable: Holds or is working towards relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification in specialised palliative care management with experience working in the community setting.
