Maurice Blackburn, experience you can count on.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly motivated Senior Legal Assistant to join our Work Injuries Team in our Perth CBD office on a full-time, permanent basis. This role would suit an EA or Legal Assistant who is looking to build their skills with higher duties. In this role, you will champion our values, provide unparalleled client service, and provide leadership and mentoring to our legal support staff.Your responsibilities will include providing legal assistance, administrative support, team collaboration, and professional development.Key Responsibilities: Champion the Maurice Blackburn values and advocate for clients to make a positive difference in their lives Provide legal support to an established legal team Provide leadership and mentoring to existing legal support staff Work collaboratively to provide exceptional client service and drive high performance Work proactively to provide support where needed within the team to maintain efficiency and high performance Provide high level, confidential administrative assistance to a Principal Lawyer of a national law firm Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders within the firm as well as external stakeholders Provide excellent client service at all times QualificationsExperience preferred as a senior Legal Assistant within Personal Injuries (or similar) A working knowledge of court and legal procedures Unwavering attention to detail, coupled with a methodical approach to tasks Demonstrate a growth mindset to support business development and financial initiatives A proactive attitude, and the ability to demonstrate leadership and collaboration within the team The ability to think strategically in order to forward plan and monitor future priorities Proven success in developing strategies and plans to manage email accounts and calendars A high competency in Microsoft Office and in particular a willingness to develop advanced skills in MS Excel and MS teams Well-developed communication skills (written, oral and interpersonal) and the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently to plan, coordinate and organise projects Outstanding customer service attributes that include a professional image, customer service focus, active listening skills and sound negotiation skills The ability to handle and uphold confidential matters with maturity and common sense A record of or enthusiasm for working independently to deliver on shared goals Additional InformationHere are our exceptional Team MB Benefits: Ongoing coaching and career development opportunities End of Year leave, 1 day first year, 4 days after 2 years Comprehensive mental health framework, including wellbeing leave (up to 4 extra days per year)and $299 reimbursement 22 Weeks Parental leave with your superannuation guaranteed and back-to-work transition policy Rewards and recognition platform with fitness, retail, and entertainment discounts A hybrid flex working model Salary Continuance & Life Insurance 17.5% Annual Leave Loading … just to name a few. *T's & C's applyOur shared values represent what we stand for and guide how we act, with Courage; Compassion; Collaboration; Fairness and Tenacity.We love that you have a life outside of work and we’re happy to support yours.
