A well-established professional services firm is entering its next phase of growth and is seeking a Head of Practice Growth to unlock it. This is a senior, internally focused role . Not marketing. Not sales. This role exists to coach, enable and hold partners accountable for building their own practices. The firm has strong leadership infrastructure in place (CFO, COO) and a highly capable group of partners and senior lawyers. The opportunity, and challenge, is shifting origination away from reliance on the CEO and embedding business development as a core responsibility at partner level. What the Role Does Coaches partners and senior lawyers to generate their own work Builds structure and discipline around networking, referrals, events and LinkedIn Uses data and metrics to drive accountability and behaviour change Normalises business development as part of senior professional leadership Who This Suits A senior commercial leader with experience in professional services BD Someone credible with partners who believe they already “know how this works” Data-driven, structured and comfortable with accountability conversations Experienced in referral‑led growth environments Why It’s Compelling Entirely internal focus Real influence at leadership level Opportunity to materially change how the firm grows 38 staff, Sydney‑based, hybrid working environment This role will suit someone who enjoys coaching strong personalities and building systems that scale — not being the rainmaker themselves.
