Role Overview: As a Senior Mortgage Paralegal, you will be responsible for processing a high volume of mortgage and other security transactions for some of Australia’s most innovative lenders, in compliance with the relevant regulations, dealing with customers and managing the settlement process. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with relevant legislative requirements and obligations. Your typical day looks like: Processing a high volume of mortgage, caveat and other security transactions for settlement purposes. Lodging multi‑jurisdictional mortgages and caveats. Engaging in customer and client interactions. Utilizing our bespoke booking and workflow management platform, Lapp. You will have: Experience in a reputable mortgage processing or property law team is essential. Proficiency in using PEXA, including creating and managing workspaces for lodgement and financial settlement, is required. Thorough understanding of the end‑to‑end mortgage process, preferably in Victoria; interstate experience is desirable but not mandatory. High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational and time‑management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. A relevant qualification in legal or paralegal fields is desirable. A proactive, positive and energetic attitude. Working hours: The role is a full‑time onsite role. Monday to Friday 9.30am‑5.30pm.
