Our client is currently looking for an Application & Database Administrator to join their team based in Sydney. They are currently about to undergo some exciting changes in their IT department and they are looking for someone who can think outside of the box Ifyou have 2 years experincein a similar role, this role is for you In this postion you will - Actively maintain, improve, and troubleshoot the existing applications and ensure their stability and reliability Ensure appropriate error handling and alerting exists for both new and existing key integrations & data flows, minimising the requirement for manual monitoring, intervention, and maintenance Play a key role in development and deployment of both new and existing applications as required by the business Monitor SQL Server Agent jobs, logs and error logs, sessions, processes, and database performance; resolve any issues and report the failures or vulnerabilities to IT Management Identify vulnerable data flow tasks and come up with recommendations based on standard and best practices Investigate performance issues or data consistency issues as required Creation and maintenance of new and existing business reporting as required To be succesful in this role you will have - Solid knowledge of coding in .Net – C# MVC, and web API Advanced skills in querying SQL databases Advanced knowledge of managing SQL Server Agent Proven experience in developing and maintaining ETL jobs - T-SQL, SSIS Strong skills in MS Excel - Data manipulation inc pivot tables, analysis, and visualization Experience building and maintaining SSRS reports Experience managing a data warehouse and heavy data loads Our Clientis a brand leaderaround Australia and New Zealand.
