GM Commercial As we continue to elevate our game, both on and off the court, and strive to meet the Whole of Sport Basketball 2040 Vision we are seeking a passionate, energetic and results driven GM Commercial to deliver commercial acquisition and growth to solidify basketball's position as a leading sport nationally and globally. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), the GM Commercial will drive the delivery of the commercial sales strategy, particularly acquisition and revenue opportunities as well as strengthening brand partnerships. This critical executive role will focus on building sustainable revenue streams across all platforms. The success of this role will be crucial in delivering the objectives of the BA Strategic Plan ) and the Whole of Sport Basketball 2040 Vision. This role is permanent full time, based in Melbourne, reporting to the CCO. The role will require domestic and may also require limited international travel and given the nature of the industry some weekend work may be required. Key Responsibilities Sourcing new commercial partners for BA. Developing sales plans to infiltrate new markets. Prospecting and presenting collateral to external stakeholders and potential partners. Assist in developing the Commercial roadmap for sustained success. Establishing networks for ongoing partnership opportunities. Working closely with Marketing to maximise commercial sales appeal for BA. Developing presentations to a high standard that effectively communicate with new and current partners. Assist in onboarding of new partners in conjunction with the Head of Commercial Partnerships. Champion the sport of Basketball externally to potential and current partners, external stakeholder and represent BA proudly, with confidence and conviction. Work closely with the key internal stakeholders and BA product leaders to maximise commercial opportunities aligned to the strategic objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate sponsors, media partners, and stakeholders. Conceptualise and execute strategic commercial opportunities for BA products and assets. Successfully negotiate commercial contracts. Provision of regular reporting using data driven analysis as required to assist with strategic decision making. Be a high-level contributor to all of business strategic initiatives and activities that drive overall business results and success. Required Qualifications and Experience Relevant tertiary or post tertiary qualifications, sales, or similar. Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial sales. Similar and well demonstrated experience in a comparable role preferably in sports. Proven influencer in the commercial environment working in a complex multi stakeholder, environment. You must be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident to make application. You must hold a current Working with Vulnerable People Children clearance.
