Injury Management Advisor – Suncorp Group Join the NSW CTP Injury Management team at Suncorp Group to advocate optimal recovery for people injured in motor vehicle accidents. This permanent role offers the opportunity for allied health professionals to apply clinical skills to a compensable injury recovery setting, requiring critical analysis of clinical information to support best practice treatment and timely recovery. Responsibilities Work alongside the claims team leader and technical advisor to create a high performing team delivering positive outcomes to injured people and driving shareholder value Review claim files and provide subject matter expertise to claims advisors – including interpreting medical reports, providing injury management advice and determining rehabilitation and treatment requirements Prepare professional written and verbal advice to claims advisors on reasonable and appropriate treatment and rehabilitation services, and recommendations for future rehabilitation management Provide consistent injury management expertise to ensure ongoing quality decisions and provide input into claims strategy Share knowledge, coach and mentor claims advisors to develop independent injury management capabilities Build external relationships with best in class treatment and service providers to assist injured people meet their recovery goals Support the injury management team leader to identify development opportunities and trends to improve individual and team performance and claim outcomes Qualifications Degree in Allied Health related discipline is mandatory Minimum 2 years clinical experience and/or occupational rehabilitation experience is desirable Ability to independently prioritise your work Ability to use technology platforms to manage caseload effectively Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to make effective decisions in a timely manner and in line with delegated authority Willingness to develop skills to manage difficult conversations with injured people, external health professionals and legal professionals Culture & Benefits Working as part of the Suncorp Group you will have access to an unparalleled range of job opportunities across insurance and corporate services.
