System Analyst / Test Analyst – Hybrid BA & QA Role Location: Melbourne Citizenship: Australian Citizens only Security Clearance: Baseline clearance preferred (or must be eligible to obtain one) About the Role We are seeking a skilled System Analyst / Test Analyst to support the analysis, design, and testing of business systems and processes. This position offers the best of both worlds — blending Business Analysis with Quality Assurance and Testing, making it ideal for professionals who can bridge business needs and technology solutions. You’ll work across the full lifecycle — from requirements gathering and process analysis through to testing, validation, and delivery — ensuring our systems are fit‑for‑purpose, high‑quality, and aligned to organisational goals. Key Responsibilities Business & Systems Analysis Assess current systems and gather business requirements. Define future state solutions and process improvements. Produce documentation such as business requirements, functional specifications, and process maps. Support alignment between business objectives and technical implementation. Testing & Quality Assurance Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Conduct functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Track and manage defects, ensuring timely resolution. Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure quality outcomes. Skills & Experience Strong background in business or systems analysis and software testing . Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Experience preparing detailed documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Hands‑on experience with JIRA , Confluence , or other test management tools. Familiarity with Agile , Scrum , or SAFe environments. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Desirable Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field. Certifications such as ISTQB or IIBA CBAP/CCBA . Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is an advantage. Baseline Security Clearance (preferred). Eligibility Due to the nature of the work, only Australian Citizens will be considered. Applicants with a current Baseline Clearance or who are eligible to obtain one will be preferred.
