Primary Prevention Specialist - Domestic & Family Violence About The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Primary Prevention Specialist to join a team of dedicated Educators in the prevention of family domestic violence and abuse on the NSW Central Coast. The successful applicant will co‑facilitate Respectful Relationship education and Mental Health education for school students aged between 11 and 18, teaching mental health strategies, promoting respectful relationships, active bystander tools, and challenging gender stereotypes. You will deliver Prevention and Family Abuse Educational workshops, including Safety Planning workshops, to minority communities, services, workplaces, early childhood settings, sporting groups and community members. This part‑time permanent role works four days per week with flexible arrangements; the position is based in Tuggerah and requires travel across the Central Coast. To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or equivalent. Candidates currently studying are considered. Experience or knowledge in all areas of Domestic & Family Violence or related specialist areas such as mental health, homelessness or drug and alcohol. Strong working knowledge of the “Our Watch” framework and the “Safe & Together” model (preferred but not essential). Experience in sourcing funding and building strong work partnerships. Experience supporting families and children in high‑level, complex DFV case work and child protection, including working with persons using violence. Solid networking and advocacy skills with both internal and external stakeholders. A NSW Driver’s Licence and insured vehicle. CatholicCare is a safe, inclusive, and respectful employer.
