St Vincent's Care Services Maroochydore is a modern, lifestyle-oriented aged care service located in a master-planned community precinct within walking distance of restaurants and shops centre on Queensland's famed Sunshine Coast . We are looking for a compassionate, spiritual, and professional person to join the Pastoral Care team, working with the Facility Manager and care team to respond effectively to the diverse emotional, spiritual and religious needs of our residents, and their families. Applicants must have a sound understanding of our Mission and a genuine commitment to the service of the aged, vulnerable, and poor. Responsibilities Attend to pastoral care needs and respond effectively to diverse emotional, spiritual and religious needs of residents and their families. Collaborate with the Facility Manager and care team to honour the mission and values of St Vincent's Care. Support residents in ways that align with the Catholic ethos and the organisation’s culture and worldview. Engage in activities that promote holistic wellbeing and person-centred care. Maintain confidentiality, demonstrate empathy, and build trusting relationships with residents and staff. Qualifications and experience Attainment of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) qualification, or equivalent training in the care of the sick, the dying, and the grieving (Essential) Relevant pastoral experience in a similar clinical/care/education environment (highly regarded) Tertiary studies in Theology (highly regarded) Tertiary studies in Mental Health (highly regarded) Demonstrated ability to promote Catholic ethos (highly regarded) Familiarity with Catholic culture, ritual, theology, tradition, and worldview (highly regarded) Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months) NDIS Worker Screening Check will be a requirement for this role Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities Ability to build rapport, trust, empathy, or strong relationships Ability to work with minimum supervision Respect and sensitivity in ministry to persons of various religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, Life Philosophies and Faith Traditions Competent technology and computer skills Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills Things that work for you Competitive salary packaging options up to $15,990, Novated leasing, plus an optional Meals and Entertainment card up to $2,650 per annum Opportunity to work for the nation’s largest Catholic not-for-profit health and aged care provider, with a rapidly growing and progressive vision Friendly team environment with a great community care spirit Ability to visibly see your impact on the business and its service No cost uniforms and training Free annual flu vaccination Employee Assistance Program for staff and their families Access to the Fitness Passport (FP) Why become part of the St Vincent's Care family?
