Overview We are looking for a Service Technician with a strong electrical background to join a leading equipment and product supplier to the wine and beverage sector. The role is based in Melbourne’s northern suburbs with intensive training in the first six months and long‑term field service across regional Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. Responsibilities Provide expert diagnosis, maintenance and repair of electrical faults on production machinery (≈95 % electrical). Install, align and repair mechanical components such as stills, fillers, presses, motors and pumps. Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics for precise installations and repairs. Diagnose complex issues including component failure, misalignment and mechanical wear. Work closely with the Sales and Service teams to service clients efficiently. What you will get Competitive hourly rate between $55 and $60, negotiable based on experience. What we need from you Attitude is non‑negotiable: a fantastic, willing‑to‑learn attitude and strong commitment to customer service. Strong electrical experience (≈95 % electrical) complemented by mechanical aptitude. Experience with PLCs and an A‑Grade Electrical Licence is highly desirable. Previous experience in beverage manufacturing or packaging is preferred. Strong organisational skills and excellent verbal and written communication. Valid driver’s licence, computer and phone literate. Desirable tickets: EWP, confined space or forklift.
