The Resources Regulator (part of NSW Resources) is seeking a dynamic Principal Compliance Manager to oversee the Audit & Enforcement, Investigations, and Compliance Assessments teams within the Mining Act Inspectorate. About the Role As Principal Compliance Manager, you are a Senior Leader responsible for managing three teams who conduct risk‑based compliance and investigation activities related to exploration, mine rehabilitation and security deposits. You’ll also be responsible for: Establishing and promoting a service‑focused culture based on continuous improvement, shared values and teamwork. Overseeing the planning and delivery of audits, investigations and compliance operations. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate voluntary compliance and drive positive outcomes. Providing expert advice, submissions, reports and recommendations on regulatory matters to the Executive, supporting informed decision‑making at the highest levels. Mentoring and developing a high‑performing team, to align workforce capability with the organisation’s current and future priorities and objectives. What We’re Looking For To be successful you’ll need to have: Relevant tertiary qualifications and leadership experience in a regulatory environment (or equivalent). A current Class C NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel throughout NSW as required. You’ll also bring: Sound experience with regulatory compliance and enforcement models, auditing, and investigation processes. A strong outcomes focus, with the ability to balance risk and deliver results in a complex, high‑volume environment. Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, develop and motivate teams.
