Lead Electrical Engineer

as part of our strategic growth plan for 2024 and beyond. You will join our Operations business in a pivotal role as we partner with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry on a major brownfields Engineering Service Contract.
Based in Perth CBD, this is a permanent role and is available as a full-time / part-time (job share) basis. Wood’s "Operations" APAC West business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimization, and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region’s most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Southeast Asia.

Key Requirements:
Be suitably qualified in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Have proven experience working in a similar Lead / Principal Electrical Engineering role with 15+ years of relevant design engineering experience within the Oil & Gas production and/or processing industries.
Be recognized as an expert in Electrical engineering with knowledge of advanced principles and techniques.
Have experience delivering within a challenging and complex multi-discipline environment.
Be a leader of people with several years of supervisory experience.
Other Qualifications:
Have a professional level of knowledge of relevant regulatory framework and legislation.
Be commercially astute with a "solutions mindset".
Be an articulate communicator (both written and verbal) with technical report writing and professional presentation skills.
Have excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, spreadsheets, and commercial engineering programs.
Additional Information:
Have a passion for energy security/transition and the vision to navigate energy models of the future.
Be customer-focused with the ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Possess previous experience working in a similar client-facing leadership role on a major long-term Engineering Service Contract in brownfields Oil & Gas.
