Full Time / Part Time Opportunity (4-5 days per week). Position based in Health Translation Hub, Randwick, NSW. Hybrid working environment (1 day per week in the office). Permanent position with a pro‑rata salary range of $62k base plus 12% superannuation and access to not‑for‑profit salary packaging of up to $15,900. The Opportunity: The George Institute’s Centre for Operational and Research Excellence (CORE) is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Research Services Grants Assistant to provide essential administrative support within its newly restructured research delivery function. CORE plays a key role in enabling our Institute’s researchers to achieve high‑impact, high‑quality outcomes by offering tailored solutions and services operating through three pillars of strategic partnering, solution design and development, and regional research delivery. This position is essential to the smooth operation of the research delivery pillar and involves supporting grant processes, coordinating documentation, maintaining accurate records and assisting with reporting and compliance requirements. Working closely with the leadership team, the successful candidate will contribute to the Centre’s annual goals by ensuring administrative processes run efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Support post‑award functions, focusing on Multi‑Institutional Agreements by liaising with internal and external stakeholders and working within TGIGH and UNSW systems (SPoT, InfoEd/MyRGC, SPoC). Assist with Research Recognition by collaborating with the committee, coordinating applications, and maintaining a calendar of awards and prizes. Contribute to the Global Research Strategy & Services knowledge management initiative via the Global RSS SharePoint site. Prepare tailored funding solutions for Institute groups using the UNSW SPIN database. Provide support for pre‑award functions as needed. Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong focus on quality of work. Understanding and strict adherence to confidentiality. Ability to work well and flexibly – autonomously, in small teams and across a wide range of stakeholders. Resilience, flexibility and adaptability in the face of changing priorities and ambiguous environments.
