Research Grants Officer – Swinburne University of Technology, Hawthorn campus Full-time, ongoing position. HEW6 Level with 17% super and staff benefits. About the Role The Research Grants Officer will provide efficient and effective administrative support for the development, review and submission of research grant proposals. The role will also coordinate with other areas of the University administration regarding grant submissions, data entry into research management systems and organising grant information for researchers. About You Demonstrated experience in project coordination, administration and support preferably in research grants administration or other complex funding programmes. Experience in developing, reviewing and coordinating national competitive grant schemes submissions in a tertiary institution, research institute or funding agency. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft correspondence and information guides. Strong organisational and project management skills with proven ability to ensure completion of tasks within deadlines. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective networks, develop collaborations and partnerships with a wide range of external partners. Strong conceptual and analytical skills. Ability to work autonomously and cooperatively in a team environment, following through on tasks to completion with minimal supervision and seeking advice and escalating matters when required. Enthusiasm, creativity, energy and self‑motivation with a flexible, outcomes‑ and solutions‑oriented attitude and approach. High level of competency in the use of standard office packages. Expertise in record maintenance and database management, including the ability to develop meaningful reports.
