Senior Solutions Architect - Public Sector, Federal & NSD Team AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small‑ and mid‑market accounts to enterprise‑level customers including public sector. The Solutions Architect team at AWS helps customers successfully implement cloud technologies, partnering with internal teams and leveraging deep knowledge of our tools and products to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address our customers’ business problems. Responsibilities Help customers plan their successful cloud journey, crafting scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. Drive technical solutions discussions, diving deep into the details with customer teams. Build relationships to understand customers and partners, influencing a variety of stakeholders from technical teams to executives. Act as a thought leader in the wider community, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops. Shape the direction of our products and services by gathering customer feedback and collaborating with engineering and service teams. Basic Qualifications 8+ years of specific technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). 7+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience. Ability to lead on complex technical projects, possibly requiring participation of other teams to deliver. Preferred Qualifications Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders. Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers. Ability to create proof of concepts, demos, and/or scripts from scratch or leveraging reusable components. Experience working with Federal government. Ability to present to technical and business audiences (training, workshops, publications).
