For more information, visit About the Opportunity We are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinic Manager to lead operations at our busy Aboriginal Medical Clinic in Mooroopna, VIC. Reporting to the Program Manager - Health, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team of more than 20 staff including GPs, nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and trainees, chronic care teams, and visiting specialists. This is more than a management role. It is your chance to lead with heart, support Aboriginal staff, strengthen cultural safety, and make a tangible difference in the lives of families and Elders across generations. You will be supported by an all‑Aboriginal leadership team that will help you make a meaningful impact from day one. Key Responsibilities Include: Managing day‑to‑day clinic operations, rosters, scheduling, and after‑hours services Leading, supervising, and supporting clinical staff through coaching, performance reviews, and training coordination Overseeing triage processes, emergency response protocols, and culturally safe walk‑in services Chairing GP and nursing meetings and facilitating communication across the clinic Driving accreditation (RACGP), policy development, risk management, and organisational compliance Conducting and overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly audits including infection control and cold chain Managing referral triaging and supporting visiting specialist services Monitoring data reports, contributing to clinical governance, and supporting KPI and strategic goal achievement Embedding culturally safe, person‑centred care into every aspect of service delivery About You To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of clinic management experience , community‑first leadership , and a deep commitment to culturally safe care . You will hold one of the following: A Certificate IV or Diploma in Leadership & Management or Practice Management, or A clinical qualification (Registered Nurse, Allied Health Professional, or Aboriginal Health Practitioner) with demonstrated management experience You will also bring: Proven experience managing a medical clinic or multidisciplinary health team Experience supervising clinical staff in busy primary health or community health settings Strong understanding of Aboriginal community needs, cultural safety, and the health factors impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people Experience with RACGP accreditation, audits, compliance, and stakeholder engagement Ability to make informed decisions under pressure while maintaining professionalism and cultural sensitivity Commitment to leading a team that delivers safe, respectful, culturally grounded care If you have a clinical background, please note: you will not be expected to carry a clinical caseload . Your focus will be on leadership, governance, and supporting your team.
